Applications Engineer

Job Summary

Develops concepts, forecasts, and quotations for turnkey automated systems. Reports to Supervisor of Applications Engineering.

Requirements

  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiar with capital equipment, engineered products, controls and automation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency - Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical sales support to automotive and commercial group.
  • Review request for quotations and detailed customer bid specifications.
  • Procure cost and technical information to prepare forecast and develop pricing strategy.
  • Prepare documentation package to release projects for design and build.
  • Use Mechanical, Controls and R & D Engineers as a resource when required.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain cost and price information.
  • Coordinate final cost review meetings to analyze project economics.
  • Process sales orders and write order acknowledgments.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports.
  • Support other departments.

Assemblers (Electrical & Mechanical)

Description

  • Electrical: Basic knowledge of hand tools, soldering, wiring. Able to read schematics.
  • Mechanical: Basic knowledge of hand tools, mechanical assembly. Able to read assembly prints.
  • Experience preferred. Competitive salary/benefits.

Commercial Account Manager

Job Summary

The primary responsibility is selling turnkey automated dispensing systems (robot, material delivery, secondary operations, integration) to all commercial accounts in the United States and Canada. Reports to the Sales Manager of Automated Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Technical background, sales experience - capital equipment or automation (min. 5 years).
  • Controls and automation knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify all opportunities for the company to sell turnkey automated dispensing systems.
  • Contact decision makers - Management, Engineering, Purchasing.
  • Accounts - Commercial, Industrial, System Integrators and Material Manufacturers.

Draftsman/Detailer, Electrical

  • AutoCAD R14/2000

Draftsman/Detailer, Mechanical

Experience & skills desired:

  • 1-3 years
  • Good knowledge of ANSI standards

  • Strong communication skills/team player
  • AutoCAD R14/2000, MS Office

Electrical Engineer / Controls Engineer

Summary

Design and programming of control systems for industrial automation applications. Experience with CNC, PLC, and PC based controls desired. Servo experience beneficial. Interface with staff and customers throughout the project cycle from inception to delivery. Proficiency with AutoCAD R14/2000 necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Solidify design parameters based on functional requirements and review of applicable specifications.
  • Specify components and generate bills of material.
  • Create schematics and enclosure layouts.
  • Programming of controllers and documentation of system operation and startup.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and service departments.
  • Detail drawings as appropriate.

Electrical Designer

Job Summary

Detailing and documentation of control systems for industrial automation applications. Thorough understanding of control system documentation desired. Experience interpreting and complying with specifications desired. Competitive compensation and benefits. Great growth opportunity.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated skills in wiring diagrams/schematics, control cabinet layout, and component selection.
  • AutoCAD R14/2000
  • Pneumatics capability a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Generate and detail schematics and enclosure layouts with minimal guidance.
  • Compile and maintain complete documentation packages for manufacturing.
  • Select detail components and formulate interconnection strategies.
  • Ensure specific compliance with applicable specifications.

Mechanical Designer/Engineer

Experience desired in the following areas:

  • Industrial automation & motion equipment
  • Pneumatics design
  • Tooling & fixturing
  • Material delivery systems
  • AutoCAD R14/2000
  • Engineering degree preferred but not required

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design layout to finished assembly with minimal guidance
  • Work closely with other engineers and designers
  • Component selection and vendor interface
  • Interact with purchasing to obtain materials, resolve delivery problems and cost issues
  • Detail, tolerance & cross-checking of drawings
  • Support manufacturing through design & build
  • Ensure specific compliance with applicable specifications
